International Legislative Strengthening

AMEX is a subcontractor to the State University of New York’s Center for International Development (SUNY/CID), a prime contractor of this IQC.  The SUNY/CID team provides services in the area of legislative strengthening, including the improvement of representative, lawmaking, and oversight functions of legislatures and other deliberative bodies.

 Under this IQC AMEX offers a wide range of expertise including: strengthening legislative and parliamentary bodies; developing programs essential to bringing about good governance; implementing programs to provide greater transparency; training to improve legislators’ capacity to draft and enact laws that ensure good governance; and monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on such programs in order to strengthen deliberative bodies.
